This course will enable the student to practice communication for immediate and personal needs, with limited vocabulary. The student will also be able to ask and respond to simple, predictable and routine questions about personal information.

Content Overview

  • Themes and vocabulary : families, leisure activities, dates and events, distances, people, greetings, introductions, immediate environment
  • Simple descriptions
  • Simple questions and instructions
  • Use of different pronouns; invariable and possessive adjectives; singular and plural articles
  • Numbers 0-99
  • Use of « être », « avoir » in conversations
  • Gender of words
  • Present tense of verbs ending in « er », including the negative
  • Pronunciation

Additional Training Informations

This course is designed for the student with very little or no background in French. A language assessment will be conducted at the beginning of this course to identify the student’s level of French language competence.
