This course will allow the student to acquire a proficient and practical use of Simply Accounting software.
Objectives

Understand the role and functioning of Simply Accounting Software
- Define the utility of a computerized accounting software
- Recognize the organization of the software interface
- Explain the utility of a general journal, and of receivable, payable, inventory and payroll modules

Apply concepts related to the accounting operations in the modules
- Create the database of the company and associated accounts
- Make changes, corrections, and additions to the database of the company
- Make changes, corrections and additions to the receivables modules
- Make changes, corrections and additions to the payable modules
- Make changes, corrections and additions to the personnel files
- Make changes, corrections and additions to the charts of accounts
- Use features that enable the treatment of various transactions such as deposit and payments
- Post basic payroll transactions
- Use features that enable the configuration and production of a standard pay for an employee paid on an hourly or annual rate
- Use features that enable the production and printing of reports
