  • Position hands correctly above the eight basic keys on the keyboard
  • Use the proper fingering for all keyboard keys
  • Follow punctuation-related spacing rules in English and French
  • Use a numeric keyboard and calculator functions
  • Type all the letters of the alphabet, punctuation marks, and certain symbols without looking at the keyboard, using the proper fingering
  • Type numbers on an alphanumeric keyboard and numeric keyboard using proper keyboarding techniques
• Develop keyboarding accuracy and speed
  • Enter textual data in English and in French
  • Enter numeric data
  • Achieve a keyboarding speed of 30 words per minute for five minutes with a maximum of five uncorrected errors
  • Achieve a keyboarding speed of 100 keystrokes per minute for numbers with one to three figures
